While only available for Australian nationals, in other respects the E-3 visa program is similar to the H-1B visa program inasmuch as the applicant must be seeking to fill a specialty occupation position that involves theoretical and practical knowledge in a professional field and at least the attainment of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, as a minimum for entry into the relevant occupation.
